Behind the Adventures

Hi, I’m Elizabeth

I’ve wanted to be a mom ever since I can remember. I think it’s one of the greatest blessings in the world to be able to raise little souls. There is so much beauty in the world that we get to share with our young kids! It definitely isn’t always easy, but it is such important, good work.

I loved studying child psychology in college as a minor, and after I graduated, I spent the years my husband obtained his master’s in NYC working as a nanny for the elite. It was so much fun to peek into that world and see some of the most beautiful Manhattan apartments near Central Park, SoHo, and Tribeca and to visit the Hamptons in the summer.

After my husband graduated, we relocated back to Indiana, and I trained to be a Montessori middle school teacher. Being a teacher was by far the hardest job I’ve ever had! Yet there is usually so much growth and learning that happens during times of difficulty.

Overall, the general Montessori philosophy is near and dear to my heart. I love incorporating many aspects of the Montessori philosophy into my kids’ lives. After this, I worked as an ESL teacher online and got to teach the sweetest and most respectful children living in China. Today, I am lucky enough to share my passion for family and kids on Star Oak Lane.
