To Party or Not to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party is one of Disney World’s most popular events of the year. It’s a paid event that happens during select evenings at Magic Kingdom. It includes an amazing nighttime parade, exclusive fireworks show, free cookies and apple cider or hot cocoa, special merch only available during the party, exclusive food only sold during the party, a special Christmas castle show, and more!
Here you’ll find the extensive amount of wonderful seasonal food options at Magic Kingdom. Discover the seasonal Christmas food available during regular park hours, during Mickey’s Christmas Party only, and the small list of food items that are available during both. Find a list of brand new food for this year as well as the friendliest options for kids.
If you’d like to read more about my overview of the party itself, tips & tricks, and whether or not it may be worth it for your family to purchase tickets this year, I will be writing a follow up article shortly.
Right now the focus is on all the limited-time sweets, eats, and treats available during Mickey’s Xmas Party. This post is for Disney fans, anyone considering Christmas party tickets, and anyone looking to create a game plan to make the most out of their Disney event. The night goes so quickly and there is so much to do in such little time, so it’s smart to figure out a game plan ahead of time!
My best advice is to choose your top five favorite food items, and then just go with the flow and hope for the best. I don’t find a lot of time to order and focus on food during the party itself between the Disney crowd chaos, special events, rides, and toddlers, but we always make sure to get our top choices in.
As the holiday season transforms Magic Kingdom into a winter wonderland, the food offerings bring their own festive magic to the park. Guests can savor an incredible variety of treats, from exclusive holiday-themed snacks to savory eats. Whether you’re visiting during regular park hours or attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, these delicious bites add an extra layer of cheer to your Disney experience.

The Winner of the Night: Snowman Tart
This adorable melting snowman dessert can be found at the Friar’s Nook only during the Christmas party. My toddler, preschooler, and I all loved it! It’s officially known as the “toasted marshmallow panna-cotta tart,” but I think “snowman tart” is a lot easier to remember. There’s a base of crushed graham cracker (almost like a key-lime pie base, but no lime in this dessert). The arms and scarf are made up of delicious chocolate. The snowman’s head is a macaron that is equally delicious. The white creme is sweet, fluflfy, and so yummy! No need to order too many of these, just one was enough for the three of us and we had leftovers. Also be sure to pack lots of wet-wipes! This was a messy clean up for the little ones, but so worth it.

Savor the Sweetness: Free Cookie and Cocoa Trails
One of the highlights of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is the all-you-care-to-eat complimentary cookie and cocoa stations scattered throughout the park. There are a variety of holiday-themed treats to keep you fueled for a magical evening.
Or better yet, you can collect the cookies to take home and enjoy later. Each person with a purchased Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ticket can get a cookie at each and every stop! So, for a family of four, you can potentially get 20 cookies if you visit each station once! You can also go through each cookie station as many times as you want throughout the night, so the cookie quantity possibilities are endless. 🎄🍪
What’s on the menu?
Each station offers its own special treat! We went on Veteran’s Day in November, and we found the following cookies during our holiday party:
1. Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Soft, gooey, and perfect for pairing with cocoa. This classic chocolate chip cookie speaks for itself. It’s reliably and predictably delicious!
2. Caramel Pretzel Chocolate Chip Cookie
Melted ooey gooey pieces of caramel, small pieces of pretzel, white M&Ms, and chocolate chips. A crowd favorite! Found at Columbia Harbor House on our party night.
3. Buttercream Frosted Red Sprinkle Cut-out Cookie

Sweet, buttery, and decorated for the season. These round sugar cookies are topped with red icing and red and white sprinkles. They kind of look like an ornament!
This sugar cookie tasted exceptionally yummy. They weren’t any better than a regular old sugar cookie found elsewhere, but let’s be real-sugar cookies are always delicious. They are especially kid-friendly. This red buttercream frosted sugar cookie was available at the Lunching Pad during our party.
4. Buttercream frosted tree shape sugar cookie

These tree-shaped sugar cookies are simply adorable. They’re a triangle-shaped sugar cookie that is topped with green icing, white beaded sprinkles, and looks like a Christmas tree.
The flavor of this cookie is just like the red round ornament sugar cookie. They’re delicious, but not necessarily anything unique or special. They taste like any sugar cookie you can find anywhere.
Perhaps that is this cookie’s charm, however! It’s predictably good, especially for kids and picky eaters. We found these Christmas tree cookies at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe on the night of our party.
5. Red velvet cake cookie

This cookie combines the rich, velvety flavor of red velvet cake with the soft, chewy texture of a cookie. At first bite, it tastes more like cake than it does cookie. It’s light and fluffy and creamy. After a while, the flavors honor that traditional cookie flavor.
There are white M&M’s sprinkled throughout. If you get a bite with two or more M&M’s, it may taste a little more like a chocolate chip cookie at first. What an interesting mix of flavors and textures! All good, all delicious, and wonderful. We found it at Tortuga Tavern on our party night.
If you try it out for yourself, let me know what you think. Do you think this red velvet cake cookie tastes more like cake, cookie, or specifically chocolate chip cookie because of the addition of the chocolate candies? Let me know in the comments!
6. Our Favorite: buttercream frosted Gingerbread Cookie

This was our favorite, out-of-this-world, free Mickey’s Christmas Party cookie by far. Be sure to look out for this one! It’s spiced just right to capture the Christmas spirit and topped with delicious buttercream frosting.
This cookie was delicious and creamier than a regular old gingerbread cookie. I think they must have added a lot more butter than a regular gingerbread cookie recipe to make it taste so fluffy and creamy.
It’s my favorite one, but also my four year old son’s favorite cookie from the party, too! While the sugar cookies just taste like any sugar cookie, this gingerbread cookie was definitely better than average! We found this at Gaston’s Tavern on our party night.
Complimentary Christmas party beverages
- Hot Cocoa: For anyone who can’t have dairy, know that you definitely shouldn’t have the hot cocoa (we asked!). For all those who can have dairy, this hot cocoa is definitely creamy and delicious and a wonderful complimentary drink to enjoy while walking around and enjoying the Very Merry Xmas Party sights. We found hot cocoa located only at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight CafĂ© in Tomorrowland on our party night.
- Apple Cider: We saw more apple cider than hot cocoa at the cookie stations. This is nice because it’s more allergy friendly. We found apple cider at all of the other locations.

Where are the Complimentary Cookie Stations/Holiday Treat Locations?
The holiday treat locations are conveniently spread across the park, marked on your event map for easy access. Additionally, you’ll know you’re in the right place when you see a large, red and white blow-up candy cane stick. Look for these stations at locations like:
- Columbia Harbor House (Liberty Square) – Inside the quick service restaurant near Haunted Mansion gift shop area. Hot cocoa and caramel pretzel chocolate chip cookies on our party night.
- Cosmic Ray’s Starlight CafĂ© (Tomorrowland) – Inside the quick service restaurant. Enter on the lefthand side, closest to the race cars attraction, and retrieve the cookies on the farthest lefthand side Bay. Then exit to the right. We found Christmas tree cookies and hot cocoa.
- Gaston’s Tavern (Fantasyland) – Enter through the side doors on the righthand side. Exit through the main doors. We found gingerbread frosted cookies and apple cider on our party night, but we also saw others received eggnog here!
- Tortuga Tavern (Adventureland) – Line is outside across the street from Pirates of the Caribbean, leading into an indoor/outdoor area. Red velvet cake cookies and apple cider on our party night.
- The Lunching Pad (Tomorrowland) – Go directly up to the window that is only giving out cookies. For us it was the window towards the left when walking towards the Lunching Pad and away from the Monsters Inc. attraction. There are also Cast Members standing outside near the candy cane pole who you can ask for directions. We found round red frosted sugar cookies and apple cider.
Be sure to grab a map when you arrive for the full list of stations! Find a copy below. The complimentary cookie stations are marked by the large candy canes. Santa’s hat shows where you can meet Santa (in Storybook Circus).

How to Find the Holiday Treat Locations
Finding the treat stations is easy—just look for the giant, glowing peppermint-striped cylinders! These festive inflatables are your beacon of holiday cheer, signaling where to stop for your next cookie and cocoa fix.
Pro Tip: Arrive during quieter moments of the party to avoid lines at these popular stations. Most families with littles leave the party early, so the lines should be shorter the later it gets, especially after the fireworks show.

Food Available to Purchase at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
There are so many yummy treat options at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! You can find exclusive Christmas party food everywhere from popcorn stands to quick service restaurants.
Some seasonal food is available at Magic Kingdom during both regular park hours and Mickey’s Holiday Party while others are just available during the Very Merry Christmas Party only. I outlined everything available at the party, and also during regular park hours. These lists are long, so I separated them into savory, sweet, and beverage categories.
I also outlined what new food has arrived that is brand new this year, and what Disney recommends ordering for the kids in the family.
Some things might be mentioned in more than one category. For example, the Cherry Cordial Cold Brew is available both during Mickey’s Xmas Party and also during regular park hours, but at different locations, so noted twice with each respective location. Enjoy, and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to comment and ask!

- While I thought the chicken and pinto beans were really good, I did think the rice could have been better. Maybe we’re spoiled with homemade rice at home, but it tasted like the basic “heat and serve” school cafeteria kind of rice and really wasn’t too great. The chicken and pinto beans redeemed the dish for me, however.
- Holiday Chicken Nugget Platter – Available at Golden Oak Outpost. Chicken nuggets on top of a bed of mashed potatoes and a side of corn on the cob. Holiday themed from the sage butter and cranberry BBQ glaze drizzled over the nuggets and potatoes.

The result is a luscious treat with a velvety texture and warm, spiced undertones, balanced by the indulgent caramel finish.

- Sugar Cookie Hand Pie – Available at The Friar’s Nook during the Christmas party only. It looks like a sweet empanada, but it’s really sugar cookie dough wrapped in a flaky crust and drizzled with white frosting and red and green sprinkles. It reminds me of a sugar cookie poptart.
- Sugar Plum Vanilla Soft Serve Sundae – Available at Storybook Treats. A swirl of vanilla ice cream and sugar plum ice cream that is then sprinkled with celebration cake cone dip, marshmallows, almonds, and sprinkles. The celebration cake cone dip is colorful and designed to resemble a celebration cake, with sprinkles adding texture and visual appeal to the soft-serve ice cream it accompanies.
- Szechuan Cauliflower – Available at Sleepy Hollow during the Christmas party only. Breaded cauliflower tossed in a spicy szechuan-soy glaze.
- Toasted Marshmallow-Panna Cotta Tart – Available at The Friar’s Nook during the Christmas party only. Graham cracker base, ganache, and topped with a macaron. Made to look like a snowman, it’s my favorite snack of the night! It’s visually adorable and also out of this world delicious.
- Whoopie Pie – Available at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies during the Christmas Party. Available at Cheshire Cafe until 6 PM during regular park hours. Two beautiful Mickey-shaped chocolate cakes with red marshmallow mint buttercream frosting in the middle. Then topped with green frosting and a white chocolate Mickey outline decorated with multi-colored lights. Plant based.

Kid-Friendly Tips & Treats
The magic of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party isn’t just for grown-ups—there are plenty of sweet and savory treats that even the pickiest of kids will absolutely love! Here’s a list of the most kid-approved options to keep little ones fueled for an evening of fun:
Complimentary Cookie Favorites
- Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies: Soft, warm, and familiar—this timeless treat is a favorite for kids of all ages.
- Buttercream Frosted Sugar Cookies: Whether shaped like a Christmas tree or sprinkled with festive red sugar, these colorful cookies are as fun to look at as they are to eat.
- Gingerbread Cookie (Buttercream Frosted): A more approachable gingerbread cookie for younger taste buds, thanks to its sweet frosting topping.
Sweet Treats to Purchase
- Toasted Marshmallow-Panna Cotta Tart – Available at The Friar’s Nook during the Christmas party only. This was our family’s favorite dessert. Mom, preschooler, and toddler were all equally obsessed with this one! One tart was more than enough for all of us, still with leftovers. It’s composed of a graham cracker base, ganache, and topped with a macaron. It’s made to look like a snowman, and it’s my favorite snack of the night! It’s visually adorable and also out-of-this-world delicious.
- Letter to Santa – Available at Main Street Bakery during the Christmas party only. An adorable all-red flourless chocolate cake with mousse and marshmallow. Topped with a chocolate shaped candy cane, holly, and white envelope for that letter to Santa.
Savory Options for Picky Eaters
- Mini Corn Dogs & French Fries – A classic kid-friendly favorite if you’re looking for something savory. Available to purchase at Casey’s Corner year-round.
- Holiday Chicken Nugget Platter – Available at Golden Oak Outpost only during the party. Chicken nuggets on top of a bed of mashed potatoes and a side of corn on the cob. Holiday themed from the sage butter and cranberry BBQ glaze drizzled over the nuggets and potatoes. For picky eaters, ask for sauce on the side.
Tips for Parents
- Bring Wet Wipes: Complimentary cookies and frosted treats can be messy, so having wet wipes on hand is a lifesaver. Be sure to bring extra! You might need a surprising amount of wet wipes when a toddler and Disney dessert mix (I definitely did!).
- Pace the Treats: With so many options, it’s easy for little ones to get a sugar rush. Alternate sweet treats with savory snacks and drinks.
- Plan for Favorites: Check the map for cookie stations near areas your kids will want to explore, like Fantasyland.
Exclusive Food Merchandise at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
No holiday celebration at Magic Kingdom would be complete without a few magical souvenirs, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party offers a limited-edition popcorn bucket. While there is no drink sipper this year, you can still grab that popcorn bucket.
Mickey Elf Popcorn Bucket
Keep an eye out for this year’s cute bucket displaying Mickey Mouse all decked out in a green elf costume! It costs $27.95 and there is a limit of two per person. Arrive early and expect to wait in line for a while (maybe 20 minutes?) as these popcorn buckets are very popular and consistently sell out before the party night is over.
